The Marathon Run / Walk: A Case Study

I don't believe that run / walking is just for beginners, nor do I believe that it should be done only if you are coming back from injury. Yes, these are sensible times to use this technique, but the benefits can be seen elsewhere. Experienced Ironman triathletes and ultra distance trail runners are proponents of the run / walk technique and it can help them get the results that they seek, in terms of performance, recovery and injury prevention.
